Scott M. Solomon is a Vice President. He advises clients on a wide range of issues including corporate disclosure, earnings announcements, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, corporate positioning, employee communications and crisis communications. He has developed and implemented many strategic investor relations programs, media relations plans and crisis response strategies on behalf of Sharon Merrill’s clients. Scott represents clients across a broad range of industries including environmental, oil and gas, industrial, life sciences and technology.

Recent engagement and representation highlights include:
• Crisis communications for an industrial client whose subsidiary filed a pre-negotiated Chapter 11 reorganization to resolve asbestos liability claims.
• Positioning and messaging for various acquisitions made by a Fortune 500 energy client.
• Organization and coordination of several investor days. Prior to joining Sharon Merrill in 1996, Scott spent more than eight years as a reporter for the Greensboro News & Record, Florida Today and The Marietta Times, covering beats including business, courts and education. He also served as director of corporate communications for investment manager Dalbar, Inc. Scott has a B.A. degree in History from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University.
